Character Similarities: Teens Can Write Too! August 2014 Blog Chain

PictureThis is my third time participating in the Teens Can Write Too, or TWCT Blog Chain. Click on the picture above to visit the Teens Can Write Too blog. The August 2014 prompt is “What characters are you most like?”. It’s going to be a short post because I’m crunched for time, but I have confidence that you will still enjoy it.

I am like Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien because I have more courage than I think.

I am like Lucy Pevensie from The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis because I’m not afraid to explore the world around me.

I am like Natalie from The School Story by Andrew Clements because I love to write and it is my dream to publish a book one day.

I am like Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer because I love hands-on science.

I am like Nancy Drew from The Nancy Drew Series by Carolyn Keene because I never stop asking questions when I want answers.

I am like Laura from The Little House Series by Laura Ingalls Wilder because I love spending time exploring the great outdoors (and when I was little I also enjoyed running around in a bonnet at recess).

I am like Belle from The Beauty and the Beast produced by Disney because I always seem to have my nose stuck in a good book.

I am like the characters from some of my favorite books and movies, and that is the reason behind my love for these stories.

Well, that’s it for today’s post. And if you want some more opinions on this topic (because I know you do), check out the other blogs in the chain.

  1. This is one of the few posts I have read where I actually recognized every character. I’m psyched for that. They are all awesome, but as for me I think Bilbo and Cinder have got to be my personal favorites. Great list!

  2. I love how you did this one! A little big of everything, right? 😉 If I did a list like this I would probably say I’m like Celaena Sardothian…for cake. *sigh* My lethal ninja skills are still coming in…. any day now.
I used to make little wagons for my dolls when I was tiny. With paddle-pop sticks. Awesome days. The pioneers are very awesome, obviously. 😉

    1. Thanks! Hehe. Well, you might not have lethal ninja skills when it comes to fighting, but you definitely have lethal skills when it comes to writing, seeing as you wrote a whole novel in EIGHT DAYS! That’s so cute. I didn’t make wagons, but I devoured the books and played pioneers at school everyday with my best friend. I think the teachers thought that it was really cute that two elementary school girls were running around the playground wearing bonnets, fighting away the “injuns” and making woodchip and grass soup for supper. Yes, yes, yes. Pioneers are very awesome.
